La belle équipe is a movie from France circa 1936.
Not much to see here except for this one gorgeous crane game. With the bartender distracted, 3 men tilt the machine to help them retrieve 2 choice prizes. I am unsure if tilting the machine like that actually provides any advantage.
first prize they get: a decorative makeup compact |
2nd prize appears to be a clock |
note the SB logo |
In one of my German arcade books we see this crane listed, without a manufacturer. Perhaps this is why the ebay seller thinks it is German? Note that the door has the same BS logo, though this is a slightly different model crane: handle is on the other side, backdrop is different, and the crane rigging has a different design.
We can see the above crane in this video, though the door has been modified. You can see the remants of the BS logo, added brass (?) lining, and a "Burrows Automatic Supply Co" plaque slapped on it. But the important info here is that BS stands for "Bonzini & Sopransi"
I am unsure if there are slight variant models, but it would be a good guess that this is called "Bridge Transporter Digger" by Bonzini & Sopransi circa 1936.
The company that began as Bonzini & Sopransi - Mécanique Générale et Menuiserie Industrielle (archive) is still around and seems to be famous for their foosball tables.
