Fresh scans done by Joey aka Detchibe! These were purchased by me and others on Gaming Alexandria.

You might ask yourself "Caitlyn why do you spend your money on rare magazines that you never even touch?" and the answer is that I think these are neat. I just like it. I want to leave this hobby in better condition than when I found it.  It's a small thing but I'm happy to be part of a collective effort to preserve arcade history from across the globe.

This blog stands in protest against the USA's horrific attempts to eliminate trans people from society. Trans people have always existed, in every society, but the administration has embraced a moral panic, declared a war against reality, and says that trans people can no longer be allowed to exist. This includes making their healthcare illegal, censoring books and school curriculum from university level down to elementary school, banning trans people from bathrooms, and declaring trans existence to be child abuse.

This blog stands in solidarity with all of the youth who are being terrorized by a fascist president that has declared them to be threats that must be eliminated.

The USA is disappearing random brown people off the streets via unidentified masked gestapo and shipping them off to concentration camps and notorious foreign prisons, all with no due process. The world witnessed ICE execute a mother and a nurse and then lie about what we saw. Solidarity for all who are in the gaze of this American Nazism terror campaign against its own people.

For my readers in the USA:  

The Trump administration has pledged to ramp up his campaign to censor books, classrooms, teachers, and overwrite laws to limit the freedoms of people who he considers "degenerate".  His attacks against schools, science, and health care has been in service of the Project 2025 vision to reform America as a Christofascist nation that will fiercely punish anyone who does not fall into their myopic worldview, pledging to use the military to suppress American citizens that disagree.

His entirely fabricated moral panic against trans people offers severe state violence in the form of eradicating trans people from public life, destroying all of their health care, making care for trans people illegal, all the while his gleeful followers revel in how much suffering and suicide will result directly from their actions.

This blog stands in solidarity with trans people in the USA, and only continues as an active site of protest.  You do not get to tell me I am unworthy of human dignity while enjoying my work on arcade research.  Talk to the trans people in your life about what they are going through.  If you do not have trans people in your life (you do, you just don't know it; the arcade community is brimming with trans and gender non-conforming folks) ask yourself why they might not feel comfortable to speak with you.  Find ways to assist the trans community in the face of this genocidal moral panic that threatens the existence of millions, and is being implemented out of malice, ignorance, and fear.

I really hope we can find Play Graph magazines from 1977 and before.  Arrangeball history begins in 1972 and really takes off in 1973.  Classic Smart Ball probably fades out of the magazine in the mid/early 1970s.  I hope we can find more!
