Exploring the arcades in ザ・スーパーガール The Super Girl episodes (1979)

The Super Girl was a TV show from 1979.  All 51 episodes have been uploaded to The Internet Archive.

We're looking at two episodes.  Thank you to tweakbod for finding and clipping these.

Episode 6:

(Universal)

(Kansai Seiki — Kasco)

1978 Sea Wolf II by Midway

on the right is a New Penny Falls, but on the left there is another mass medal machine with a marquee on posts.  The glass goes way high, and the marquee has a distinctive shape.

(Sigma)

Sigma was importing Double Falls (which was 14 years old at that point!) in 1979. (Japan Overseas Business) had begun importing the same machine back in 1974, but judging by the age of the other machines, I will assume this one was from Sigma.  Mind you, I have not found any differences between the models J.O.B. and Sigma sold.

There were three different companies that imported the New Penny Falls machine.  Sigma did so in the 1980s, but based on the surrounding machines I'm assuming this one was brought in by ジャトレ (Jatre)

(Bally)

(Bally)

On the right is a tantalizingly mysterious game.  There is a backglass with lovely colours that says "Derby". There is a head in the way, but it seems to be part of the domend machine beneath it.

There are two things I'm drawn to here:  One is the slope of the dome. It goes up at a more gradual 50 degree angle.  And where the dome is set into the game, it isn't just a 90 degree corner, there are instead two 135 degree angles close to each other.  We see numbers 1-4 on the right, but also probably that's a 5 in the square at the bottom.

That makes me think that perhaps it is a similar machine to this one:

Derby Racer - ダービーレーサー [import] by ストリート (Streets) & ジャパンオーバーシーズビジネス (Japan Overseas Business)
Derby Racer also has 5 horses to bet on, a gradual slope on the dome, and the corners around the dome are similar.

On the right-hand side of the screen you can see a little bit of the Double Falls (above) artwork.
The woman on the left of the screen, if you look at her left ear you'll see some green artwork...

1979 Ball Park by Taito

1978 Middle Earth [import] by Atari

I am unsure which version of Speed Race this is, there were SO MANY versions released over about 7 years.  Definitely one of the late 70s ones since it has colour and contemporary graphics.
It looks most similar to Speed Race CL-5.  Many places online will say this game is from 1980, but it appears in March 1979 in Game Machine, and Akagi's book of games has it as 78/10. (thank you smith5031 and tweakbod)
Let this be a lesson: never trust online sources!  Always dig up the original sources when you can.

The Space Invaders cabinet above has white on the front.  It is the one made by Midway and imported by Taito to meet demand.

Episode 11:

The action is moving right-to-left so let's name the machines in the same manner:

1975 Dead Heat - デット・ヒート by タイトー (Taito)

The 1st type of slot machine has eluded me.

The belly of the machine has a black rectangle, surrounded by what looks like chrome.  But beneath it is a larger illuminated rectangle.  On the top we see a jackpot light.
Based on the stylings, I think this might be a Grosvenor slot machine from the Australian company Ainsworth.

The 2nd type of slot machine is very curious, as it has silver side moulding like a 1960s Sega slot, except that it goes all the way up to the top in a straight line.  It also has a jackpot light at the top.
The only slot machine that fits this profile is a this one.  Though I do not think this is the exact same machine, I do believe it's the same maker as the profile is quite unique.  The logo with the "88" is seen on other machines, and so I think the company is called Ascot, but I am not sure. For reference only:

The next two are far more manageable:

Note: there exists Speedway-M1 machines, but also Speedway-M2 machines WITHOUT the white card of feature information in the belly glass.  The one in The Super Girl is specifically the version of Speedway-M2 with the white feature card.

(Bally)

(Sega)

Time for some arrangeball!  The first two encountered are the same:

~1976 Miracle Buffalo-2 Arrange Ball MB-1 B2 - ミラクル バッファロー MB-1 B2 by さとみ (Satomi — Sammy)

The next 2 are actually a machine I currently own!

OK these machines have a slightly different payout tray, and a horizontal line on the lower part of the playfield, so not exact to mine.  There were many games utilizing this baseball playfield.

1976 Base Ball arrange ball by unknown

It's nigh impossible to see the fifth one, but it has text on the upper area and a distinctive shadow pattern on the playfield.  It's actually the machine the first two are the sequel of!
the blurry mess on the left...

We're continuing from Right -> Left:

1969 Combat - コンバット by セガ (Sega)

(Taito)

(Japan Overseas)

(Satomi — Sammy)

there is no way to identify that cocktail table

(Sankyo)

(Komaya)

(Taito)

There are 2 more machines that I have not been able to identify:
