Some rare Taito flyers courtesy Mike Minchew. I love the 1960s machines! Those 2 basketball flyers are probably not from 1967, but that is when those games first appeared. They were built and exported for a number of years, especially the 902 model. The Taito Stagecoach flyer is interesting, as it is a Kasco product. Taito was probably handling the exporting.

I've spent a lot of time in pinball venues over the years: From hobbyist conventions to dedicated pinball meccas, to barcades and arcades and pinball co-ops. If you've spent a few hours at a Free Play arcade, you've probably seen this as well: people come in never having seen or played pinball before and they struggle with starting the game and sometimes have to be told where the flippers are. This often ends up with a few games in a row that have 4-player games and someone walked away during player 3 ball 1.
There must be a better way to entreat these people into the world of pinball, so I decided to write a Pinball 101 info card in the hopes of conveying the basics to pinball neophytes of the world. Annie Socoria teamed up with me and handled the design side, and shout out to all of the people I consulted with my early draft(s).
Not only will the flyer give the basics, but it gives people something to take home. Maybe they'll see it and remember the fun then had and it will act as a reminder to go back. There are helpful links on the back to help encourage new players, and hopefully help inspire future pinball fans.
We designed 101+102 to fit an 8.5x11 page so it could easily be printed at home. You can print + fold, or print 2 copies (with duplex on the short edge) and cut in the middle and you can have Pinball 101 on one side and Pinball 102 on the back. Feel free to print them flush to cut cardstock for your own arcade!
These are free to use for pinball arcades everywhere.
