exploring the arcade in 皮ジャン反抗族 (1978) aka Kawa Jan hankō-zoku (The Young Animals)

Check out this amazing cover!  If you're willing to put a pinball machine on your cover, you're definitely worthy of an arcade exploration.  Oh, did I mention that this is a DISCO HOOLIGAN movie? yeah that's right, those disco bad boys are up to no good!

皮ジャン反抗族 (1978)

1978 Black Jack by Bally

This movie has two arcade areas. This lineup is notable for having two rarer variant EM versions of games that are more commonly known for their solid-state version.

1978 Eye Of The Tiger by Gottlieb

1978 Cleopatra [EM version] by Gottlieb

1978 Mata Hari by Bally

1978 Blue Shark -  ブルー・シャーク  by Taito

Let's take a look at this chunk first, starting with the game on the left.

1976 Starship 1 -  スターシップI  by Atari

Next one is based on the colours on the front of the cabinet.

1977 Golden Arrow by Gottlieb

The next machine I have not yet been able to identify, given that I only have the coin door to work with. It appears to be the style of cabinet and coin door that Gottlieb used from around 1968 to 1974.
But no Gottlieb has a red line broken at the center at the bottom, and the vertical framing art is normally reflected.

I am unsure what pinball machine this is

The third pin is probably Eye Of The Tiger/Sinbad again, but there is also a copy of that game facing this row. but I can't think of any other machines with the same orange colour.

And then the last two in the row…

1977 Jungle Princess by Gottlieb

1977 Joker's Wild by Sonic

Along the back wall we have, once again, Mata Hari.

1978 Mata Hari by Bally

1978 Joker Poker by Gottlieb

1977 Night Rider by Bally

1977 Super Straight by Sonic

we can't see much of the first pin on the right-hand side, but we can see that the second pin is once again Eye Of The Tiger.

On to the next arcade glimpse...

We'll begin on the back wall.

I do not know what game this is.

Aany ideas as to what this game can be? The controls look to be similar to Atari's Destroyer.

1977 Destroyer by Atari

The bezel area proportions remind me of Vanish.

1977 Vanish by Hoei Sangyo

Please get in touch if you know the answer!

1977 Cross Fire by Taito

1977 Laguna Racer by Midway

1978 Shooting Trainer - ニューシューティングトレーナー (New Shooting Trainer) by 任天堂 (Nintendo)

In the center of the room...

1977 Fisco 400 - フィスコ400 by タイトー (Taito)

1977 coMotion 2 by Gremlin

Although it should be noted that this cabinet does not have any black visible.  We seem to be looking at the back-side of it in the video so perhaps that side is all white?  I do not know.  If anyone knows of a cabinet that is exactly the same but white, please let me know.

And on the right we once again see Starship 1, noted above.

This blog stands in protest against the USA's horrific attempts to eliminate trans people from society. Trans people have always existed, in every society, but the administration has embraced a moral panic, declared a war against reality, and says that trans people can no longer be allowed to exist. This includes making their healthcare illegal, censoring books and school curriculum from university level down to elementary school, declaring trans life to be child abuse, and banning trans people from bathrooms.

This blog stands in solidarity with all of the youth who are being terrorized by a fascist president who has declared them to be threats that must be eliminated.

The USA is disappearing random brown people off the streets via unidentified masked men and shipping them off to concentration camps and notorious foreign prisons, all with no due process. Solidarity for all who are in the gaze of this American Nazism terror campaign against its own people.
